YOUR IMPACT<ul><li>Designs, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various types of metal objects</li><li>and structures using MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield) techniques Determines layout of weld parts according to drawings and company/customer requirements</li><li>Welds according to Oshkosh AeroTech specifications</li><li>Applies specialized skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in area of expertise</li><li>Executes welds in all positions including from underneath to the side, in a variety of shapes such as in a tube, and more</li><li>Assists during welding of components in areas of expertise</li><li>Assists with design and set-up of work centers</li><li>Troubleshoots problems, identifies, and communicates design discrepancies</li><li>Completes required weld documentation including line check sheets, and material movement paperwork</li><li>Moves weldment to the next process verifying it meets Oshkosh AeroTech specifications</li><li>Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components, and weldments from one work or storage area to another as required</li><li>Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area</li><li>Practices good housekeeping in work area</li><li>Responsible for understanding and following all Hazardous Waste Management duties and responsibilities</li><li>Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience<ul><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience</li><li>Two (2) or more years weld experience with at least one (1) years of experience in a similar environment</li><li>Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment</li></ul> Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):<ul><li>Appropriate welding certifications, capable of meeting AWS D1.1 requirements, problem solving ability, crane and jib certification, and appropriate moving vehicle certifications</li></ul>Oshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
