Experience with FHWA, state, and local transportation planning, traffic, and environmental processes.</li><li>Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail-oriented work, work independently, and demonstrate effective time management skills.</li><li>Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.</li><li>Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, analysis, value engineering, writing technical specifications, and project cost estimates.</li><li>Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered, apply innovative design solutions, and implement current technology to meet project design needs.</li><li>Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to entry-level/junior engineers or technicians to help them improve their technical skills.</li><li>Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules with little supervision.</li><li>Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and preferably Project).</li><li>Skilled in traffic simulation/modeling software, including Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS, and other platforms utilized by local agencies in California.</li><li>Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail-oriented work, work independently, demonstrate effective time management skills, and consistently deliver high-quality deliverables.</li></ul>
