We are looking to hire a Senior Design Manager to support the delivery of a new 7-year framework where the AECOM multidisciplinary team will plan, design, and deliver water and/or wastewater treatment projects for a major utilities client in Southern England.  Key responsibilities of the role include, managing multi-disciplinary design activities to deliver proposals on time and on budget, ensuring compliance with regulations and client requirements. Core Responsibilities:Design Leadership:<ul><li>Leading and managing teams of engineers and designers in the development of wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pumping stations, and sewer networks. </li></ul>Design Management:<ul><li>Overseeing all aspects of the design process, from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. </li></ul>Client and Stakeholder Management:<ul><li>Building and maintaining strong relationships with the client, contractor, and other stakeholders, and effectively communicating project progress and technical challenges. </li></ul>Resource Management:<ul><li>Ensuring that the design team have the necessary resources including the technical expertise in wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic modeling, and related engineering disciplines. </li></ul>Compliance and Safety:<ul><li>Ensuring that designs are developed to comply with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations/requirements, including but not limited to CDM (Construction Design &amp; Management) regulations. </li></ul>Innovation and Improvement:<ul><li>Driving the adoption of innovative technologies and best practices in wastewater design and continuously improving design processes. </li></ul>Financial Management:<ul><li>Managing project budgets, tracking costs, and ensuring value for money in design solutions. </li></ul>
