This role involves conducting tests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring diverse test systems meet performance, including reliability, standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, data analysis skills, and a problem-solving mindset.  Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Perform diagnostic tests and evaluate electrical/mechanical/fluidic systems to ensure compliance with specifications.  </li><li>Ability to be effective in a dynamic research environment where attention to detail, responding to change, and dealing with ambiguity are essential. </li><li>Set up and operate testing equipment, tools, and instrumentation. </li><li>Strong understanding of test data, ability to interpret, and prepare presentation materials. </li><li>Uses data, technical proficiency and problem-solving tools to advance testing and application of tests to improve processes. </li><li>Assist engineering teams with troubleshooting and identifying root causes of failures. </li><li>Works with engineering teams to set appropriate specifications, standards or best practices. </li><li>Collaborate with other departments to refine testing procedures and improve quality. </li><li>Support prototype development, validation, and verification processes </li><li>Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting new equipment </li><li>Execute standard operating procedures </li><li>Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor </li></ul> What we need you to bring to the team:   <ul><li>Associates degree in engineering, electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) </li><li>5+ years of experience in a testing environment </li><li>Hands-on experience with testing equipment and procedures </li><li>Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test protocols </li><li>Ability to adapt approach when encountering problems which are varied </li><li>Ability to fact find in order to fully understand the issue and consider the most appropriate response </li><li>Ability to work independently receiving little instruction on daily work </li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver quality and timely work </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Proficiency in instrumentation and data logging /reporting software </li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities </li></ul> <div><div>What we want you to bring to the team:   <ul><li>7+ years of experience in a testing environment </li><li>Ability to determine methods and procedures on new assignment with little guidance </li><li>Ability to work on problems which are varied and non-routine </li><li>Experience in mineral processing, steel making or related industries </li><li>Ability to up-skill new team members </li></ul>Compensation:   <ul><li>The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $29-$32 an hour and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.  </li></ul>Benefits For You:  <ul><li>100% paid premiums across all medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, short-term disability, long-term disability, and basic life insurance plans </li><li>$1,800 in annual employer HSA contributions (health savings account) </li></ul> Benefits For Your Family:  <ul><li>100% paid premiums across all medical, dental, vision, and telemedicine plans </li><li>12 weeks of paid parental leave </li></ul> Benefits For Your Future:  <ul><li>401k with up to 5% matching contributions which vest 100% on day one  </li><li>Eligibility for incentive stock options </li></ul></div></div>
