Teledyne maintains a Quality Assurance Program that is structured on the requirements of the Title 10, Part 50, Appendix B of the Code of Federal Regulations (10CFR50) and ASME NQA-1-2008, Add. NQA-1a-2009 with 10CFR21 reporting responsibility.We are seeking an experienced valve engineer to join a team that focuses on mechanical design, nuclear power plant analysis and managing projects from concept to completion. This will be a key role within the Engineering Services team, providing support to utilities in implementation activities related to their power operated valve programs. Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker who shares our passion for developing engineering solutions for our customers.Qualifications and Responsibilities<ul><li>Bachelor's of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in an engineering or related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>5+ years experience as a valve engineer in the nuclear power industry.</li><li>Strong understanding and experience of AOV and  MOV design, testing, and troubleshooting.</li><li>Experience and working knowledge with AOV and MOV industry standard documents such as ASME Appendix III and IV, and EPRI methodologies.</li><li>Provide support on engineering service projects including, but not limited to: design basis calculations, overthrust evaluations, diagnostic trace anomaly reviews, self-assessment support, Appendix III / IV program gap analyses, and the design of custom programs / test reports.</li><li>Preferable to have experience in check valve design and non-intrusive testing methods.</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of products, customers, goals, organization, and business strategies, evaluating systems and processes, and identifying customer needs.</li><li>Work with product development team to continually improve and develop valve test products based on customer feedback and industry experience.</li><li>Communicate with customers on valve issues. Form positive/productive customer relationships based on data and continual improvement, act as a technical liaison between customers.</li><li>Perform in-house and off-site training sessions for engineers and field technicians.</li><li>Amount of travel required up to 25%.</li><li>Individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Ability to implement complex calculations and perform data processing/analysis using Microsoft Excel.  </li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
