Job Description:Position Description:The Technical Design Engineer is responsible for supporting development from concept to release of new products. As a technical design engineer, the person in this position will have the opportunity to work with others and hone their project management skills.  It’s a great opportunity for engineers wanting to grow their career beyond being an individual contributor. Major Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and manage product requirements for new and derivative products in response to market requirements</li><li>Lead design, development, testing, and listing of new or derivative products</li><li>Perform engineering analysis on designs (FEA, thermal, etc.)</li><li>Cross-functional involvement with small teams taking products from concept to launch</li><li>Direct interaction with customers for the purpose of defining and/or clarifying needs and translating those into product requirements</li><li>Producing engineering design documentation packages including assembly drawings, BOMs, installation drawings, service pages, and test specifications.</li><li>Analyzing and solving technical problems and providing repeatable, supportable solutions that can be implemented in a timely manner</li><li>Providing technical support to Sales and Marketing for pre and post sales activities</li><li>Analyzing field failures and identifying corrective and preventative solutions</li></ul>The above duties may be supplemented occasionally with other job duties and/or assignments related to career or personal development.Knowledge/Skills Requirements:<ul><li>BSME or BSEE required (or equivalent)</li><li>Experience in product development and system integration within Solar Utility desired</li><li>5-8 years experience in design of AC and DC power distribution systems desired, including familiarity with &gt;1KV DC power</li><li>Experience with DFM principles</li></ul>Pay Range (Applicable to California)$140,000.00 - $150,000.00 dependent on level of experienceWhy Join Nextracker: 🚀 Innovative Environment: Be part of a team that's at the forefront of revolutionizing solar energy technology.
