This individual will be responsible for diagnosing equipment and performance issues for KCE’s energy storage facilities, and contributing to the development of tools, reports, automated processes, and data models to improve the ongoing performance of KCE’s assets. We are looking for a candidate with the ability to lead initiatives, problem solve, and work across a cross matrixed team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Develop, maintain, and use plant operational data to diagnose issues and to develop models to improve plant performance, efficiency and reliability.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Perform or assist in root cause analysis on system components experiencing failure or underperformance by leveraging data and working with subject matter experts.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Developing reports, dashboards, and other operational KPIs to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of KCE’s Asset Operations team.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Work with SQL databases, and other third party software’s to build and deliver automated reports and to conduct analysis.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Collaborate with SCADA and software development teams to build out data infrastructure needed for performance analytics.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Support and interface with component Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assess equipment anomalies and analyze events.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Monitor equipment performance and predict component health, alerting SMEs and site personnel of anomalies within those trends that could adversely affect reliability and maintainability of equipment.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Provide analysis in areas such as KPI performance against targets &amp; goals.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Develop, update, and train analytical and performance software models.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Help automate and improve performance reporting capabilities.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">All other duties as required.</li></ul> WORK EXPERIENCE &amp; REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Bachelor’s degree in technical field, Master’s degree preferred</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">0-4 years of work experience, preferably in renewable energy or a related field</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience performing data analysis on engineering assets, preferably in the power generation industry.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience with programming (SQL, Python, R, Matlab, etc)</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience with data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau, Matplotlib, Shiny etc)</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Familiarity with agile and scrum methodology, and with code repositories such as Github.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience with advanced pattern recognition, and machine learning is a plus.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Advanced understanding of controls, inverters, and energy storage systems is a plus.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience with technical analysis and root cause analysis is a plus.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Strong verbal, and written communication skills are required.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Proficient in various software programs including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and database use.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and able to break down and solve complicated problems.</li></ul> Physical Requirements: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px;margin-bottom:4px;">Prolonged periods of working at a computer</li></ul> </div>
