Join our exceptional team today and help shape the future of energy! Position Specific DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Architect to join our IT department and play a pivotal role driving strategy and solutions in Power Delivery IT reporting to the Executive Director. This strategic leadership position will act as the key driver for developing and implementing work management and related strategies and solutions that align with the business goals of Power Delivery and NextEra Energy. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern, enterprise-class, cloud-enabled technology, business architecture, and organizational considerations, especially with a large operational business unit. This position will have to see the strategic vision defined and delivered.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead the development, review, and implementation of solution architecture following Enterprise standards, guidelines, and principles driving to strategic goals.</li><li>Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define the strategic roadmap for Power</li><li>Delivery architecture and ensure it supports business objectives.</li><li>Extend  or create architecture blueprints and models that guide the design, implementation, and integration of IT systems.</li><li>Ensure all architectural solutions and technology investments are aligned with NextEra Energy's PowerDelivery business goals and objectives.</li><li>Lead a team of technical IT professionals and provide mentorship, guidance, and support to foster professional growth and development. Drive leadership of near- and far-shore development teams.</li><li>Conduct regular assessments of existing IT systems and recommend modernization and optimization approaches.</li><li>Engage with executives and senior management to communicate PDIT vision, strategy, and value proposition.</li><li>Align with enterprise-approved emerging technologies that support business innovation and transformation initiatives. Propose new technologies if applicable.</li><li>Identify and mitigate risks associated with PDIT architecture and infrastructure projects.</li></ul>Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering solutions and associated architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.</li><li>Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing complex IT projects.</li><li>Deep understanding of integrated IT environments and cloud architectures, as well as modern software development and deployment practices.</li><li>Knowledge of business architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or a similar methodology.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive transformation within a large organization.</li><li>Professional certifications in solutions and/or architecture preferred.</li><li>Experience working within the energy or utility industry is a strong plus.</li><li>Familiarity with sustainability and clean energy initiatives.</li><li>Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to IT architecture in the energy sector.</li></ul>
