Title: Attorney This Attorney position will be expected to provide legal support to the company with a focus on one or more of the following primary areas: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC); Regulatory &amp; Compliance; Corporate M&amp;A; and/or General Contracting &amp; Vendor Management (non-real estate). The Attorney will work closely with East Point’s General Counsel and with the EPC, Asset Management, Business Development and/or Project Development Teams, as applicable, to provide legal support for the ongoing activities of the company, as well as develop and manage the company’s portfolio of assets at various stages of development, construction and operation. The position will report directly to the General Counsel and may have direct reports over time.   Roles &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide legal oversight of company activities within designated focus areas, collaborating closely with relevant business lines and other members of the Legal Department </li><li>Develop and administer legal processes and procedures </li><li>Project interface with multiple parties including parent company, outside counsel, and financial partners </li><li>Interact and negotiate with contract counterparties and their counsel </li><li>Conduct and manage internal due diligence activities  </li><li>Draft, review, revise and negotiate contracts, amendments, change orders, legal notices, and related documentation </li><li>Coordinate with and manage external counsel on legal matters  </li><li>Represent the company’s capabilities and image including participation in conferences, trade shows, and other business development opportunities </li><li>Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned </li></ul> Skills:<ul><li>Proficiency with Microsoft software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, etc.)</li></ul><ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication; able to communicate effectively to audiences with varying degrees of technical/legal understanding </li></ul><ul><li>Strong negotiation and presentation skills </li></ul><ul><li>Extensive legal subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC); Regulatory &amp; Compliance; Corporate M&amp;A; General Contracting &amp; Vendor Management (service/supply/software agreements, etc.).   </li></ul><ul><li>Strong ability to multi-task and effectively address competing priorities   </li></ul> Characteristics of an ideal candidate:<ul><li>Passion for energy development and the environment </li></ul><ul><li>Creative problem-solving ability and solutions-oriented mindset </li></ul><ul><li>Self-starter with a desire to succeed and a focus on creating value </li></ul><ul><li>Team player and leader, proactive attitude </li></ul><ul><li>Organized, attention to detail </li></ul><ul><li>Comfortable with a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment </li></ul><ul><li>Integrity and accountability</li></ul> Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>J.D. </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of four (4) years of practice in one or more of the above-referenced focus areas </li></ul><ul><li>Active and valid Bar license in state of residence </li></ul><ul><li>Energy storage or other renewable energy industry experience preferred </li></ul> Travel &amp; Time Commitment:<ul><li>Limited travel related to, company retreats, and possibly industry conferences </li><li>This is a full-time, exempt salaried position.
