In this role, you will be maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with Polish accounting standards and corporate financial policies. This position also plays a key part in the implementation of a new ERP system (SAP/START), identifying process gaps, and driving continuous improvement.You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to process optimization, and support both daily operations and strategic initiatives. If you're detail-oriented, analytical, and ready to take on a challenging role within an international organization, we’d love to meet you.<h3></h3><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Participate in the implementation of our new ERP system (SAP/START)</li><li>Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to the improvement of accounting workflows</li><li>Ensure compliance with Polish accounting standards and internal corporate policies</li><li>Process supplier invoices and post accounting documents in line with local and internal procedures</li><li>Collaborate with operations, project teams, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting</li><li>Prepare journal entries, conduct monthly account reconciliations, and analyze account activity</li><li>Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions</li><li>Support month-end and year-end closing activities</li><li>Provide feedback to optimize and standardize accounting processes</li><li>Assist the Finance Controller with daily tasks, projects, and the implementation of new financial tools</li></ul><h3></h3>Qualifications:<ul><li>At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role within an international company</li><li>Strong command of English (spoken and written)</li><li>Fluent in Polish both spoken and written</li><li>Practical knowledge of accounting principles, tax/VAT law, and auditing practices</li><li>Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems</li><li>Advanced Excel and MS Office skills</li><li>Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>A mindset focused on continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation</li></ul>Preferred Competencies:<ul><li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills</li><li>Familiarity with Polish GAAP and IFRS</li><li>Ability to work independently while being a strong team player</li><li>Experience working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment</li></ul><h3>Work Environment &amp; Benefits</h3><ul><li>Office-based role with flexibility: Home office twice a month</li><li>Exposure to industrial environments as needed</li><li>Standard 40-hour workweek</li><li>A collaborative, international work culture</li><li>Opportunities for career growth and process ownership</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
