AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our growing Civil Design Practice, with a home base in Buffalo, NY, Rochester, NY or Syracuse, NY. It is expected that this role will provide support to projects throughout the Northeast US. This is a hybrid position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in municipal water, wastewater, and/or stormwater design, analysis, inspection and management in dense urban settings. The preferred candidate will have a proven ability to lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver successful projects. Join our growing civil design practice and help us continue to deliver innovative and successful projects.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Lead complex design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.</li><li>Experience working with mid-level staff and leading multi-discipline project design teams locally and remotely.</li><li>Interface with client and regulatory agencies and play a major role on presentations to existing or potential clients.</li><li>Experience in civil and stormwater design.</li><li>Design of pipe conveyance and coordination/understanding of modeling of collection systems.</li><li>Develop and review design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.</li><li>Oversee and prepare engineering reports and documentations.</li><li>Prepare engineering services proposals, fee estimates, and schedules.</li><li>Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.</li><li>Stay current on industry trends and advancements in design and engineering.</li><li>Assess trends in the marketplace and lead strategy and assist with proposal development with support from local and national staff to capture expanded suite of services AECOM can offer clients.</li><li>Provide construction administration support.</li></ul>
