As a Calibration Lab Specialist, Individuals will perform calibration services on a variety of electrical equipment and mechanical gages as well as coordinate calibration work with outside calibration labs. Individuals will perform calibrations on various types of equipment, such as temperature/Humidity chambers, thermal shock chambers, multimeters, pressure controllers, pressure transducers and etc. Additional calibration will include mechanical gages such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages and torque gages among other items. The position requires individuals to follow calibration procedures closely, with great attention to detail to accurately record and document results. They must be able to interpret test results to determine if the equipment has passed/failed calibration requirements. Individuals must also be able to write calibration procedures for new equipment and make modifications to existing procedures when necessary. Fluency with MS Office software, such as Word and Excel, is required. Basic understanding of electrical, temperature and pressure concepts as they relate to instrumentation is required.
