It is crucial in the role to recognize the time sensitive nature of the requests, respond swiftly to meet tight deadlines, and complete work accurately.The Origination Analyst is responsible for valuing mid-market and structured wholesale transactions, building complex models, analyzing the evolving market, transaction management, and data management. In this role, you will be involved with the following:<ul><li>Provide transaction pricing to Originators. </li><li>Develop and maintain complex models to support transaction valuation, risk management, and asset optimization. </li><li>Transactions include tolling agreements, renewable resource offtakes, and BESS. </li><li>Collaborate with Originators in designing deal structures that maximize gross margin given firm’s risk tolerance. </li><li>Perform studies and analysis in support of Commercial activity. </li><li>Keep abreast of ISO, regulatory, and market changes. </li><li>Manage large market data sets. </li><li>Time management and the prioritization of competing work demands. </li></ul>To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:<ul><li>At least 5+ years in the U.S. electricity and natural gas industry as a quantitative analyst structurer, risk analyst, or similar role. </li><li>Degree in Quantitative Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field. </li><li>Possess a solid understanding of mathematical finance including stochastic calculus and probability theory, plus associated numerical methods for their practical implementation. </li><li>Proficient in MS Excel. </li><li>Programming capability in R (preferred), Python, or similar language </li><li>Databases and SQL. </li><li> Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence and build relationships as a participant in a team environment. </li><li>Work under general supervision, is self-motivated, and proactive. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate at all levels.</li></ul><ul></ul>DiversityCelebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to what we do.
