But now, we’re so much more than just gas and electric. Through our unique combination of household heroes and energy assets, we’re at the heart of the energy transition in Ireland, strengthening the country’s energy security and helping customers get ready for a net zero future.HSE ManagerCork or Dublin   We’re looking for a Health, Safety &amp; Environment (HSE) Manager to lead and enable EHS to ensure high standards are attained, continually improved and that legal and regulatory obligations are met across Bord Gáis operations.Key accountabilities<ul><li>Support the HSE Director as required by the business needs and provide timely and appropriate escalations</li><li>Develop and implement the EHS strategy for Bord Gáis</li><li>Ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance across all operations and performance units (inclusive of field and non-field activities)</li><li>Undertake strategic reviews of current performance and operations</li><li>Deliver a single approach to EHS Management that meets the organisation needs, statutory duties and the expectations of key stakeholders</li><li>Develop and deliver EHS management systems, processes, procedures to ensure continual improvement, industry best practice with alignment to Centrica Group</li><li>Provide assurance to the HSE Director and Bord Gáis SLT, by means of appropriate monitoring and intervention, that Bord Gáis fulfils its legal obligations under EHS legislation</li><li>Support the development of Bord Gáis Just Culture</li><li>Offer competent advice on EHS matters to the company and its staff</li><li>Ensure that all sites are compliant with legal EHS obligations</li><li>Develop and instigate EHS initiatives</li><li>Ensure continual improvement and develop, in conjunction with the HSE Director, EHS targets, objectives and KPI’s</li></ul>Key experience<ul><li>Relevant experience in managing EHS at a senior level with direct reports, minimum of 5 years’ experience</li><li>Experience of working in a similar field</li><li>An understanding of the regulatory sector and the management of risk</li><li>Experience in the management of change</li><li>Experience in managing performance of 3rd party contractors</li><li>Strong self-drive and resilience to overcome challenges and deliver results</li><li>Relevant experience of building a strong and consistent culture of safety throughout an organisation</li><li>BSc (Hons) Occ H&amp;S / NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 5/6 or equivalent</li><li>Barrier-based root cause analysis training (Sologic or equivalent)</li><li>Incident investigation experience in a recognised method i.e., Topset</li><li>EHS Auditor qualification preferred (ISO 45001 and/or14001)</li><li>Chartered member of IOSH (or actively working towards)</li><li>Evidence of current CPD</li></ul>Why should you apply?       We’re not a perfect place – but we’re a people place.
