Job Description:Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PV Systems and Applications Engineer to design and test utility scale PV DC and AC electrical systems. This role requires expertise and hands-on experience with PV and power conversion systems, knowledge of electrical safety standards, and familiarity with utility scale installations.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Contribute to the optimized design of integrated equipment serving as the interface between large-scale PV arrays, power converters and their connection to medium voltage power systems.</li><li>Provide detailed specifications of components, evaluate competing components and methods, and provide analysis including modeling to support design recommendations. </li><li>Conduct electrical testing in laboratory and field settings on individual and integrated components in accordance with industry standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability, safety, and performance.</li><li>Document system designs, test results, and compliance reports, providing regular updates on project milestones.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering experience and 5 years of experience with PV system design and installation, including hands-on experience in hardware integration and testing.</li><li>Expertise in engineered applications and solutions for PV system installations.</li><li>Understanding of electrical protection devices and safety standards</li><li>Proficiency in electrical system simulation tools</li><li>Hands-on experience with energy systems.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and safety awareness.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.</li><li>Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.</li></ul>Pay Range (Applicable to California)$200,000.00 - $220,000.00 dependent on level of experienceWhy Join Nextracker: 🚀 Innovative Environment: Be part of a team that's at the forefront of revolutionizing solar energy technology.
