This role will work primarily on developing, refining and maintaining CAD and other models for the components and assemblies that make up the world’s most sophisticated and power dense Electric Propulsion System (EPU). The candidate will participate in the releasing and checking of components and assemblies for product development in concept, production, and beyond.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Creation, completion and checking of 2D engineering part and assembly drawings per ASME Y14.5</li> <li>Maintaining BOMs through the product lifecycle</li> <li>Orchestrating BOMs for new product introduction, material planning, and manufacturing trials</li> <li>3D CAD Modeling and complex assembly management</li> <li>Creating, reorganizing, and maintaining complex CAD product structures and relationships</li> <li>Checking Drawings – Follow checklist to ensure drawings follow requirements from best drafting practices, GD&amp;T logical output, BOM matching/checking, Note conformity, and CA approvals</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>HS Diploma or GED</li> <li>5+ years of working experience in relevant industry</li> <li>Proficient in complex assembly and part management in Dassault CATIA V5, V6, 3DX</li> <li>Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing implementation and correcting</li> <li>Experience in a high-output environment in or related to engineering (300+ part releases)</li> <li>Proficiency in BOM structuring, Engineering Change Management in ENOVIA</li> <li>Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple assignments</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and enjoyment in drafting</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work as a hub for this team, in a fast-paced dynamic environment</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>7+ years of working experience in relevant industry</li> <li>Tolerance analysis on parts and assemblies</li> <li>Hands-on experience with aircraft certification programs</li> <li>Understanding of FAR Part 23 and 27 regulations</li> <li> </li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $82,000 - $109,300/yr.
