These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.  Job Description  Detailed Description<ul><li>Lead a Team of supply chain professionals managing a global supply chain towards strategic and tactical objectives.</li><li>Manage all aspect of purchasing to efficiently and cost effectively support organizational operations</li><li>Develop and manage Purchasing policies and procedures</li><li>Develop and manage Purchasing KPIs – review, measure and ensure targets are reached</li><li>Review and improve Purchasing processes</li><li>Review and manage Purchasing related contracts</li><li>Represent Purchasing Team in MRB Meetings and provide support for material disposition</li><li>Coordinate New Vendor Review processes and review &amp; approve new vendors</li><li>Manage vendor relationships</li><li>Oversee and execute and purchase order cycle</li><li>Ensure appropriate inventory targets are met</li><li>Analyze purchase requirements to determine most favorable purchasing strategy</li><li>Ensure daily receipts and invoicing discrepancies are addressed</li><li>In collaboration with local and corporate management implement strategic initiatives including but not limited to the following:<ul><li>ITAR compliance</li><li>Global trade compliance</li><li>Working capital initiatives</li><li>Lean Manufacturing</li></ul></li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Post-secondary Degree</li><li> Currently enrolled in or have completed: Supply Management Training, Production and Inventory Management certification, and/or APICS courses</li><li>5 years of purchasing experience with 3 or more of those years with relevant experience in a manufacturing or a hi-tech electronics environment</li><li>Experience with managing large scale, special projects, such as New Product Introduction</li><li>Experience with strategic supply-chain activities such as supply planning, sourcing, contracts, and supplier performance management</li><li>Working knowledge of project management principles and practices</li><li>Knowledge of Purchasing and Supply Chain Systems and LEAN principles</li><li>Financial acumen</li><li>Excellent computer skills, high competency level in Microsoft Office applications</li><li>Experience with ERP systems, SAP is preferred</li><li>Strong analytical, critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills</li><li>Organized, self-motivated, and with the ability to work both independently and as a team</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written</li><li>Creative and resourceful</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Resident Status</li></ul>Preferred Skills/Experience: <ul><li>Strong knowledge of Lean principles</li><li>CPIM/CPP/SCMP certification is an advantage</li><li>Well-rounded exposure to purchasing precision machined components, PCBAs, Optics, and box builds.</li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
