You will be responsible for balancing production capacity with demand, coordinating resources, and ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehousing, engineering, and operations.</p><p>Your ability to anticipate production challenges, mitigate risks, and streamline workflows will be essential in maintaining smooth manufacturing processes. You will be expected to monitor production progress, manage inventory levels, analyze data for continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.</p><h2>Responsibilities and Duties  </h2><strong>Production Scheduling</strong><ul><li>Develop, implement, and manage detailed production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products.</li><li>Balance production capacity with forecasted and actual demand to prevent overproduction or stock shortages.</li><li>Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to align schedules with material availability and workforce capacity.</li><li>Adjust production plans dynamically in response to unforeseen changes such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages, or shifts in customer demand.</li><li>Work closely with manufacturing supervisors to ensure smooth execution of planned schedules.</li></ul><strong>Inventory Management</strong><ul><li>Ensure the availability of raw materials and components required for production.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing teams to maintain optimal stock levels.</li><li>Track finished goods inventory and coordinate with warehousing teams for proper storage and distribution</li></ul><strong>Resource Allocation</strong><ul><li>Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to maximize production efficiency.</li><li>Plan machine usage and downtime to optimize production flow.</li><li>Identify potential resource shortages and implement proactive solutions</li></ul><strong>Production Monitoring</strong><ul><li>Oversee daily production processes to ensure alignment with planned schedules.</li><li>Track production progress and adjust plans as necessary to address delays or inefficiencies.</li><li>Ensure product quality meets established standards and regulatory requirements.</li></ul><strong>Data Analysis &amp; Reporting</strong><ul><li>Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.</li><li>Generate reports on production performance, inventory levels, and resource utilization.</li><li>Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead time, machine uptime, and production costs.</li></ul><strong>Capacity Planning</strong><ul><li>Forecast future production needs based on market trends, historical data, and customer orders.</li><li>Assess future capacity requirements and recommend equipment upgrades or expansions as needed.</li></ul><h2>Knowledge and Skill Requirements </h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field experience in Operations. </li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies (preferred).</li><li>Understanding of industry safety regulations and compliance requirements.</li></ul><h2>Physical Demands and Working Conditions</h2><ul><li>Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a daily basis</li><li>Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes</li><li>Move items up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts</li><li>Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time</li><li>Precise and repetitive handling of a range of material quantities</li><li>Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location</li></ul><p> </p><p>The starting base pay for this role is between $111,000 and $141,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills.
