If you thrive in dynamic environments and are driven to develop people, processes, and performance, we want to hear from you.What will you own?Team Leadership &amp; Supervision:<ul><li>Coordinate and supervise daily activities of engineering staff and technicians.</li><li>Provide formal supervision, coaching, mentoring, and safety leadership to assigned personnel.</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance.</li></ul>Technical &amp; Project Oversight:<ul><li>Ensure technical quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of engineering deliverables.</li><li>Adapt departmental plans to meet resource, operational, and project challenges.</li><li>Manage and execute engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with corporate, industry, and regulatory standards.</li></ul>Operational Support &amp; Process Improvement:<ul><li>Perform engineering work in operational, production, construction, and maintenance environments.</li><li>Oversee the design, scaling, and optimization of manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment.</li><li>Plan, design, and manage construction and maintenance projects for plant systems, structures, and components.</li><li>Lead problem-solving initiatives related to equipment and system performance, failures, and reliability.</li></ul>Standards &amp; Compliance:<ul><li>Develop and enforce engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.</li><li>Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations on engineering and operational issues.</li><li>Participate in engineering effectiveness studies and initiatives focused on plant reliability and safety.</li></ul>What you have:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related discipline)</li><li>Proven experience as an engineering expert in a power generation or industrial operations environment</li><li>Strong leadership interest with a demonstrated focus on team development and performance improvement</li><li>Experience managing complex technical projects through all project phases</li><li>In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Advanced engineering degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license</li></ul>Why Talen Energy?CollaborationWe focus on excellence through safe and efficient operations.
