If you have a natural curiosity for understanding and solving technical problems and the drive to deliver quickly, we’d love to hear from you. <ul><li>Location: Munich, Germany (Office-first work setup)</li><li>Employment Type: Full-Time, indefinite term</li><li>Salary Range: Competitive (75,000€ - 105,000€) – commensurate with experience</li><li>Language Requirement: Full business proficiency in English (C1 level or above)</li></ul> Your Responsibilities <ul><li>AWS-Based System Development &amp; Architecture<ul><li>Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of our AWS-based micro-services and data pipelines.</li><li>Implement best practices from AWS’s Well-Architected Framework (security, reliability, performance, cost optimization, and operational excellence).</li></ul></li><li>Software Engineering &amp; Delivery<ul><li>Write maintainable, testable, and high-performance code (ideally in Python).</li><li>Participate in code reviews and integrate robust automated testing, CI/CD practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation).</li></ul></li><li>Collaboration &amp; Iterative Development<ul><li>Work closely with a small, cross-functional team—product, operations, and senior engineers—to quickly iterate and deliver new functionalities.</li></ul></li><li>Learning &amp; Adapting<ul><li>Research and prototype new solutions or services (e.g., advanced data streaming on AWS Kinesis, serverless computing with AWS Lambda).</li><li>Rapidly pick up domain knowledge around battery operations and energy markets.</li></ul></li></ul> Your Profile Mandatory Requirements: <ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>1+ years of (non-internship) experience in Software Engineering, ideally with a focus on backend development or algorithmic challenges in the cloud.</li><li>Comfortable working with core cloud services (e.g AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM) or similar on other cloud providers, and eager to deepen your AWS knowledge.</li><li>Strong programming skills in Python with a solid grasp of software development fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, concurrency, system design and networking.</li><li>Evidence of being a fast learner who is eager to understand complex technical topics.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.</li><li>Passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced, startup environment.</li></ul>Optional (But a Plus): <ul><li>Prior work experience at a fast-paced and rapidly growing startup.</li><li>Familiarity with serverless architectures, event-driven systems, or streaming (Kafka, Kinesis).</li><li>Prior experience in energy markets (e.g., SCADA integration, energy trading).</li><li>Understanding of embedded systems or low-level industrial communication protocols.
