We are currently hiring for a Solar Service Technician. The Service Technician will work closely with the Service Manager and Dispatcher to troubleshoot existing customer's photovoltaic solar systems. The right candidate will travel in a company vehicle to project sites to perform necessary repairs and gather the required information for further troubleshooting and warranty replacements. They will obtain and communicate the necessary information from the field to the internal team to ultimately close out service tickets. As the Service Technician you will be working at residential properties and must be a professional and confident representative of the company. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Travel to project sites in a company vehicle to repair and diagnose existing solar systems</li> <li>Photo-document all aspects of the site that are required</li> <li>Develop a positive relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather information from the site as needed</li> <li>Conduct a physical site audit using auditing tools including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment</li> <li>Communicate with their supervisor or product manufacturer from the field to resolve service cases</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul>Requirements<ul> <li>Must have general knowledge of residential solar systems and their components</li> <li>Must have tremendous customer service skills</li> <li>Must be able to understand troubleshooting techniques of solar equipment</li> <li>Must have the ability to physically repair components of a solar system, including but not limited to inverters, panels, wiring, monitoring devices and conduit</li> <li>Must be able to lift 50lbs and have the ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops</li> <li>Self Motivated individual who works well alone</li> <li>Safety conscious individual who is able to setup and climb a ladder</li> <li>Provide and maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record</li> <li>Punctuality and strong communication is a must</li> <li>Follow safety guidelines for working with fall hazards</li> <li>Ability to pass a pre-employment driving record and criminal background check</li> <li>Be able to use technology such as Dropbox and Google Calendar</li> </ul>Benefits<ul> <li>W-2 Employee</li> <li>Retirement Plan (401k)</li> <li>Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick &amp; Public Holidays)</li> <li>Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental &amp; Vision)</li> </ul>
