Join us in powering North America!Your OpportunityOne Permanent Full Time Position.Join our world-class team in Phoenix as a Senior SME, Turbines &amp; Rotating Equipment.  You will support our growing fleet of steam turbines, gas turbines and other rotating equipment.You will contribute to our team by:<ul><li>Providing subject matter expertise for all model Steam and Combustion Turbines across the Capital Power fleet, including operations, routine and outage maintenance, equipment upgrades or optimization, monitoring service bulletins and component repair recommendations.</li><li>Maintaining life cycle information for key rotating equipment.  This includes the history of repairs, operating profile, upgrades and other technical information.</li><li>Delivering detailed component repair work scope, RFQ’s for component repairs, including all upgrades, repair procedure improvements, and providing recommendations to Plant Management and Senior Leadership.</li><li>Initiating on-site technical support for the outages, projects, equipment upgrades, component repairs either remotely, or at the plant, or the various vendor repair facilities. </li><li>Reviewing the plant’s previous outage reports, operating, maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance work orders, and recommend process improvements as applicable.</li></ul>What you will bring to the role:Education:<ul><li>Completed Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)</li><li>Education equivalency may be considered</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>10+ years as a Mechanical Engineer with Power Generation experience</li></ul>Technical Skills: <ul><li>Comprehensive Mechanical Engineering experience with a background in:<ul><li>Steam and combustion turbines</li><li>Rotating equipment and vibration analysis</li><li>Maintenance, reliability, design, construction, and commissioning experience</li><li>Preference for turbine OEM experience </li></ul></li><li>Strong communication skills (written; verbal).</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Hybrid downtown Phoenix, with 20% travel for project and plant maintenance support across North America.</li></ul>Additional Details:This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.The pay range for this position is $162,000 - $179,000This position is eligible for health care benefits, retirement benefits, paid time off, and annual bonus.​​As this is a safety sensitive position, clearance of a pre-employment drug test is required, subject to applicable law.​ In order to be considered for this role you must be legally eligible to work in United States of America.The successful candidate for this position will undergo an education verification, reference checks and criminal record check.               Capital Power employees that refer a successful candidate for this position are eligible for a $1500 Referral Reward!We believe that creating a culture that supports employee physical, mental, financial, and social wellbeing is critical to our success.
