We all take initiative and remain adaptable, overcoming obstacles by prioritizing respect.</div>Position DescriptionThe Assistant Controller position, reporting to the Controller and other Company partners, will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, implementing and maintaining internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth initiatives.The Assistant Controller is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.</li><li>Prepare technical accounting memos, research and provide clear guidance on complex accounting standards.</li><li>Work closely with management team for balance sheet reviews, reporting and monitor variances to budget and prior year.</li><li>Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.</li><li>Assist with process improvement and monitoring around Procure to Pay process, budgeting, reporting and transfer pricing.</li><li>Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing leadership, guidance, and training as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate annual audits and tax filings.</li><li>Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.</li><li>Support strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis, modeling, and recommendations to senior management.</li><li>Evaluate and implement accounting software and systems enhancements to streamline processes and improve efficiency.</li><li>Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller or CFO.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
